Pakistan powers to finals

Pakistan marched spectacularly to finals of ICC world Twenty20 by thrashing tournament favorites South Africa. South Africa once again failed to deliver on a big occasion. They were set a modest total of 150 to chase by Pakistan thanks to good bowling. The star in the Pakistan batting was Boom Boom Shahid Afridi. He scored a good 50 to guide his team to a good total. He is the epitome of the saying Cometh the hour cometh the man. Later on, he took 2 important wickets to seal the match for them and book them a place in finals. South Africa were off to a poor start losing Smith early. Gibbs and De Villiers too followed soon and it was left to Kallis and Duminy to rebuild the chase. Kallis did his best but Pakistani bowlers bowled a good line and restricted his scoring and he departed after a well made 50. After his departure, only formalities were left and Pakistan romped home by 7 runs.
